What is A Woman’s Worth?
At the time of first coming up with the concept of A Woman’s Worth? There was so much that came to my mind that I wanted to do.
Initially, my idea was to turn it into a film as I could visualise it in action. Throw-back to when I was a young woman in the 90s, I hadn’t seen films from the UK that represented me as a young woman from Britain let alone a young black woman from Britain.
Inspired by various Black American actresses in dramas and films I was able to see the growth. Sanaa Lathan in Love and Basketball to Nappily Ever After, Kerry Washington in Save The Last Dance to become the main character in Scandal and Taraji P Henson in Baby Boy to Hidden Figures.
Therefore my passion is to create a composition for other young women growing up, a relatable image to be inspired by like I had .
